About Me:
My name is Erich Beregszaszy and I teach at Troy Athens High School in Troy Michigan. I earned my BS from The University of Michigan Dearborn in 2014, and will be completing my MA in science secondary education from Michigan State University in December of 2016.
In addition to my teaching, I have taken over coaching our school Science Olympiad team this past year. I have also worked extensively on a variety of district-wide initiatives including the redesign of our intro to physics curriculum. I am a proud member of our school improvement committee as well. I wholeheartedly love my job and having the opportunity to helping my students on their educational journeys. While I am incredibly passionate about my subject areas, my primary goal continues to be providing my students with opportunities to grow as scientists and critical thinkers. It is through experimentation, collaboration, and deep thinking my students are able reach their goals, and better understand the world around them.
In my spare time I love reading, cycling, playing with my dog and overindulging at my local Biggby coffee shop. I enjoy traveling and recently chaperoned a small group of students on a trip to Jacmel Haiti.
